Has Hell frozen over yet?

Attorney General Anne Milgram was running errands on her own time and got pulled over for speeding. Considering the actions of her recent predecessors you'd think there would be back room deals to get it fixed or at least sweep it under the rug. Not so. We found out about it quickly because her office put out a press release, and not on a Friday where it would be overlooked but on a slow news day, Monday. Milgram said she doesn't plan to contest the $176 fine or try to get the four points reduced even though that is her right and it is a first speeding offense. When I got up this morning I thought maybe I had dreamed it. But, no, I checked the paper and there it was. Also incredible for New Jersey government, she was driving her 1994 Honda, not riding in a fancy state car with a state trooper driver or doing her personal errands on taxpayers' time. Wow.

Well, I guess if you can't find any criminals in the most corrupt state in the union you can distract attention away from that by committing a crime yourself.

Who's next?

Traffic violations, her only knowledge of the law............that's why there will be no contest.

"Has Hell frozen over yet?"

Only when the BPU whistleblower trial starts.

What? No gas-guzzling SUV and trooper driver to run her personal errands?

No handing out her business card to tamper with justice? No speed-dialing the police chief----ala Justice Soto?

No dialing Corzine to help bribe her way out of it ala Cryan's girlfriend, Golding?

Not even a call to the DMV head to bail her out?

Sweet Jesus, I hope Milgram will not be run over by a tank for not conforming to The Machine's "Cultural Revolution."

I think it was staged. It's a photo-op, like kissing a baby.

Even if it wasn't staged, there is just no way she could get a ticket fixed so soon after prosecuting the same crime. She'll just have to make up the money on the next deal.

Bottom line, Trenton continues to steal billions while we piddle our attention on traffic tickets. This is how far we've come. We're happy to see just one pol get a traffic ticket. That's a long way from fixing a multi-billion dollar corrupt system.

I have to wonder if the was a set up? maybe she WANTED to be ticketed and show the state she is "clean and honest" ? in NJ there is always a reason for EVERYTHING

Straw dogs. They must think we're really stupid. Come to think of it, they're right; we keep putting them back in the trough, and fill it with $$$ at their whim.

Thanks Bob. Now every scumbag media-whore official in the state will think they can "wag the dog" by borrowing a friend's old car and staging a similar act. RU President McCormick will probably be the first.

Since she is a member of the protected class, she had to tell the officer to "ticket her anyway". I would not have had a choice.

Perhaps she thought it would be good press, or

perhaps she felt she should eat the ticket like anyone else would, or

perhaps she was tempted to skate, but remembered Zulima Farber.

We'll never know.

Yes, she is an ineffective A.G., and we need an A.G. who is capable of, and willing to, prosecute official corruption, but that's a separate issue.

She chose to accept the ticket, and that's all we know about this particular incident.

Kind of sad that this is news but what has the AG position ever done ?

Maybe she can investigate why Codey was driven off the road in a State SUV.

Then again why bother...it will be another white wash report.

Probably every scumbag legislator is right now trying to contact the bond trader demanding she be removed from office as this episode clearly demonstrates her incompetence!

After all, how could any ranking self respecting state employee not demand a free pass!

On second thought, maybe Annie didn't know she could do that! She certainly doesn't know too much else about Attornies Generaling.

Now, let's not be so cynical. As the great Freud said "Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar."
She was caught speeding, she got a ticket. She did the right thing in announcing it to the media.
Maybe this is a sign that things are looking up in the Principality of NJ. Perhaps the royalty are starting the hear the rumblings discontent among the masses.
Keep up the good work Bob and followers.

This simply shows she is as clueless in her private affairs as she is as AG.

BULLETIN:

In an unpresidented move, both houses of the Legislature were called back into session in Trenton today to act on a bill proposed by Senator ________ and Assemblyman _________
(you fill in the blanks) granting special license plates to AG Milgram for use on her personal vehicle.

Insiders tell us that the bill contains amendments granting her an unspecified number of plates to be distributed, at her disgression, to family members, etc. a formal apology for her inconvenience along with a onetime stipend covering fines and court costs, etc.. Also she and all other AG's will have lifetime rights to use the plates as a tribute to the wonderful things they have done for the citizens of the State.

Other riders include one by Senator Sweeney granting special plates to all former mayors of the State's municipalities (another earlier effort failed), and one by Senator Lesniak granting the beligered Assemblyman Cohen lifetime privleges.

Reached at the Avenel sex offenders facility (where he seems to spend a lot of his free time) Senator Lesniak had no comment on the subject and seemed preoccupied.

The "royalty" in NJ have their heads so far up their royal arses they don't hear a thing.

They play the serfs like the indentured servants they consider them to be.

Annie came forward only because had she not and had the story come out she would be out. One zoom zoom farber was enough. Do you know how difficult it is to find someone to be AG who is incapable of finding corruption in NJ? Considering peter harvey already had the job who could jonboy trust?

small price to pay for such great publicity. It was meant to generate positive feelings in the state. Seriously, we are losing billions of dollars a year and chasing our businesses and residents away. We'd like to see more politicians arrested and lose their pensions. We still have nothing to be happy about. Where's batman when you need him?
